TERMS & CONDITIONS

Rules and Conditions of Entry IMPORTANT: Entrants must be 12 years of age or over on the night of the event chosen, Friday 25 June 2010 or Friday 10 September 2010. An adult guardian must accompany each entrant aged 12 – 16 for the duration of the Midnight Walk.  For school groups, there must be a ratio of 2 adults per 5 pupils. The guardian must sign this form in the space provided and separately enter in to the Midnight Walk. The applications must be submitted together. The full entry fee is applicable.

Entries will close on Friday 11 June 2010 for the Cotswold Midnight Walk Cirencester and Friday 20 August 2010 for the Cotswold Midnight Walk Gloucester.

Once accepted, your place cannot be transferred to any other person. If you cannot attend your chosen walk, you must inform Cotswold Care Hospice as soon as possible; you cannot give your place to any other person.

Personal details: all entrants must provide a home address with postcode, together with an emergency contact name and telephone number of someone who will be available on the night of the event. This should not be someone participating in the walk.

Fees: The special early bird registration fee is £10 per adult for all entries received before 31 March 2010 and is non-refundable. The registration fee for any entries received after that date is £12 per adult and is non-refundable.

Payment: if you are entering by post, please make cheques payable to Cotswold Care Hospice. Each cheque should have the names of the walkers written on the back. Please do not send cash through the post.

Sponsorship: Sponsor forms will be sent to you with your confirmation letter. We have not set a minimum sponsorship amount that you need to raise but please raise as much as you can!

Please return your sponsorship monies by Monday 1 August 2010 for the Cotswold Midnight Walk Cirencester and Monday 1 November 2010 for the Cotswold Midnight Walk Gloucester.  

T-Shirts: The Cotswold Midnight Walk t-shirts will be sent to with your welcome pack.  Please ensure that you have ticked and selected the most appropriate size, bearing in mind you may wish to wear it over clothes! You cannot change your t-shirt at a later date.

Time of arrival: Gates open at 10.00pm for registration and the pre-event warm-up. Please arrive within plenty of time.

On NO account is alcohol to be brought in to the event site or consumed during the Cotswold Midnight Walk.

Disabled entrants are welcome to take part although due to the nature of the event we ask you to contact us prior to completing the form as some people with disabilities may not find the route suitable. If a disabled entrant requires assistance from another person, this person must also enter as an individual. Only guide dogs are accepted – no other pets or animals are permitted. .

The Cotswold Midnight Walk is not a race. No walkers are allowed to run or jog and no walker must pass the nominated walk leaders.

All participants walk at their own risk. In no event shall Cotswold Care Hospice be liable for any injuries, loss or damages whatsoever including indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential losses connected with any aspect of this walk.

You are not permitted to use any of the sponsorship money that you raise in relation to the Cotswold Midnight Walks to pay for your expenses. If you do not pass all the money that you raise to Cotswold Care Hospice, you may be committing a criminal offence.

By signing the entry form you agree to follow the reasonable directions of Cotswold Care Hospice and abide by the rules and conditions of entry for the Cotswold Midnight Walks. Due to unforeseen circumstances, if necessary Cotswold Care Hospice reserves the right to cancel this event at any time.
